Ferndesk is a complete help center with an AI agent, Fern, whose job is keeping documentation true. Connect your codebase, live product and support inbox — GitHub, Linear, Intercom, Zendesk, Help Scout, Slack and Discord are supported — and Fern checks each article’s claims against what the product actually does, flags what has changed and drafts fixes for you to approve. When a pull request merges it can draft the new article before release, re-take screenshots when the UI changes and run scheduled audits. The help center itself is full-featured: hosting on your own domain or /help, an in-app widget that answers from your verified docs, OpenAPI reference pages, private docs, translations, and API and MCP access so you can manage docs from Claude Code, Cursor or ChatGPT.
There is one plan: Pro at $149/month (or $1,490/year) with five seats, five languages and 1,000 AI conversations a month, after a 7-day trial with no card required. Startups under $1M ARR with fewer than ten people can pay $75/month for the first year, and migration from an existing help center is one click with URLs preserved.
Our editor score is 4.3/5 in Business. Pick Ferndesk if you ship weekly and your docs keep falling behind; if you only need a simple FAQ page, a cheaper knowledge base will do.
